Safety Day 2025

Safety first!

On 3 April, our working day was entirely dedicated to safety – because working safely is something we do together. Following on from the national ‘Bewust Veilig’ Day 2025 on 27 March, we at Heatpoint organised an inspiring day full of awareness, reflection and collaboration.

We kicked off with a session on communication – because safety starts with how we interact with one another. This was followed by various activities and workshops that demonstrated, in surprising ways, just how vulnerable we can be, and how important it is to remain alert and engaged.

Safety doesn’t stop at a helmet or high-vis vest – our digital environment also deserves attention.

During Social Spel’s ‘Take Back Control’ escape game, we were challenged as a team to recognise and overcome digital threats. With the help of a game facilitator, we were guided through a thrilling scenario in which we cracked codes, unmasked suspicious emails and made critical decisions to regain control. This experience emphasised how important it is to remain alert and engaged in our digital environment.

It was an informative and enjoyable day, which once again made it clear that security is not just a task, but a mindset. And that is something we share together.
