Ballast bonding:
Ever increasing speeds and rising pressure on the shafts mean that railway lines
and their bases require more and more maintenance. Particularly vulnerable are
railway level crossings and railway bridges with a crossing between a rigid and
ballast base, as well as glue joints and point machines.
Heatpoint glues the top layer of ballast with a special,
environmentally-friendly synthetic resin at locations that require regular
maintenance. The ballast, which is very firm but yet elastic and water
permeable, stabilises the tracks, reduces maintenance costs, and enhances travel
comfort.
